Seventh mobility – Foligno, Italy

From October the 10th to October the 14th the seventh project meeting took place in Foligno, Italy. We started with a group briefing at the hotel in which we discussed further development of the project and we presented a draft of the CookBook. We dedicated most of the time to adjust and decide how to procede in the making of the book. After the general welcome, the group splitted in two parts: one group, including leaders, stayed at the hotel to work on the book; the other group, including students and tutors, visited the vegetable&fruits market and an olive oil factory. In the afternoon the groups met and we went together to visit the junior high school Scuola Statale Media Piermarini to share experiences and visit the school. The Education, School and Culture councillor of Foligno municipality welcomed us. After that, we visited Palazzo Trinci, an International Gothic building, house of the Trinci family which ruled the town between the XIV and XV century. Sixth mobility – Nazilli, Turkey

From May the 23d to May the 26th the sixth project meeting took place in Nazilli, Turkey. We visited the school and the principal welcomed us with a warm welcome speach. We met a lot of students who were very happy to know new people from all around Europe. We also visited a beautiful exhibition displayed in the school with drawings done by portugese students on the topic of food. Then, we splitted in different groups, every of which worked in the workshops of the school (ceramic, fabric, mosaic, cooking etc). The lunch was partially prepared by the cooking workshop. In the afternoon, we visited a small village where the main production focuses on clay. It was very interesting to observe how the whole village is able to mantain its economic and production process throught the only element of clay. The next day, we had the pleasure to visit the beautiful natural site of Pamukkale and the archeological site Hierapolis. We walked through the ruins and on the travertine hot springs. Fifth mobility – Eersel, The Netherlands

The fifth mobility in the Netherlands, on SO-VSO “De Groote Aard” in Eersel march 14 – 18 2016 From 14 to 18 March 2016 38 participants from 6 countries: Italy, Portugal, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Latvia have been visiting our school. 17 of them were students with special needs, 2 students follow social education, furthermore 2 members of staff from Viaindustriae Association, and 17 teachers. On Tuesday we started our project week officially with a visit of the mayor of Eersel, Mrs Anja Thijs to our school. She welcomed the guests in her municipality and brought a present for each school: a statuette of the “Contente Man”. He personifies the Kempish spirit of hospitality and conviviality. After that the guests took part in “Beweegwijs”/ smart moving, together with all the children and students of “De Groote Aard”. On Tuesday and Thursday about 10 teachers and 24 students of our school participated in the program. They prepared a meal together and took part in our educational system. They made Dutch pea-soup and apple-crumble as a dessert. …

Fourth mobility – Lisbon, Portugal

Transnational meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, Febraury 1st-5th, 2016 Our fourth meeting has taken place in Lisbon from February the 1st to February the 5th. The coordinator meeting was itnended to share updates reguarding different aspects of the project, and to plan next activities and improvements. Polish coordinator updated the group on how the work is proceeding. The Italian partner showed updates on the website and the group discussed about contents to be uploaded on the website. The cookbook was also introduced, and will be specified in out next meeting in The Netherlands. The group also visited the city of Lisbon, the area of Belem, the Belem Tower and the Monastero dos Jerònimos, Sao Jorge Castle and other main places of the city.
