Pearl-barley porridge

Ingredients: 0.5kg pearl barley; 0.3kg smoked bacon or chiken; 1 onion; 2 cloves of garlic; 50g butter; Directions: 1. Cut the bacon, garlic and onion in cubes. 2. Fry the bacon, onion and garlic in butter. Fry on low heat for half an hour. Heat oven to 200°C. 3. Put fried bacon, onion and garlic in the baking dish. Add the pearl barley and butter pieces. Bread Cake

old French bread, eggs, Bacon & cheese in a plastic bag Ingredients: 300 grams of bacon or ham in strips 6 eggs 300 ml milk salt pepper French bread grated cheese parsley Directions: 1. Cut the French bread into small pieces. Put a pan on the fire and FRY 3/4th of the bacon very slightly. The rest of the bacon you can later use as topping. 2. Take a bowl and mix the 6 eggs, 300 ml milk, salt & pepper through each other. Then take a bag and do the pieces of French bread in the bag and pour the just-made eggmix.   3. Then do the just-fried bacon pieces in the bag. 4. And then the grated cheese.   5. Put the bag (a ziplock bag works best) and mix the ingredients together. Put the bag now 30 minutes in the refrigerator. 6. After 30 minutes you pour the bag content in a baking Tin and get some cheese & unbaked bacon or ham on top. Put the baking tin now for 25 …

Snert – Pea soup

Ingredients: Beef broth cube 1 bag of splitpeas 1 celeriac 2 x leek 3 onions 3 potatoes 2 large smoked sausages 1 bag of Bacon strips Directions: 1. Put 3 gallons of water with 4 bouillon cubes on the fire 2. Add the split peas. 3. Cut the celeriac into small pieces      4. Add the celeriac to the broth (cook for 60 minutes) 5. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes 6. Wash the potato cubes and add them to the broth     7. Cut the onions into small pieces 8. Cut the leek into thin rings 9. Add the onions and leeks to the broth     10. Bake the bacon in a frying pan and let it ooze out on a piece of paper 11. Cut the smoked sausage into thin slices 12.
